AMNH / Discovery Tours / 50th Anniversary

Working with the travel staff of the American Museum of Natural History in New York City, we created a fiftieth-anniversary logo and a catalog of Signature Series tours. The design was a nod to historic travel, focused on the decades of adventure travel and ground breaking work by the museum’s exceptional explorers, scientists and educators in the program. The logo system was expanded into the museums 150th birthday and used across other AMNH Travel and Expedition programs.

AMNH Expeditions

The American Museum of Natural History created a series of trips from their Discovery Tours brand that catered to adventure travel in countries and regions that were little traveled and well off the beaten path. These trips were created for the changing travel climate in the early 2000’s, catering to a wider demographic and concentrating on specific locations around the world. A large annual catalog of expeditions was produced, with smaller, individual excerpt booklets designed to be extracted for bi-monthly marketing mailings. All design and visuals were also used for website content, and a new website was part of the overall branding.
